Redbreast 12 Years Old is a grassy, clean, and smooth single pot still Irish. This makes a lot of sense considering its mash bill contains both malted and unmalted (green) barley. Distilled at the Midleton site, Redbreast 12 Years Old is aged in a combination of Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts and American oak bourbon barrels giving this multi award winning Irish whiskey a thick spicy body with notes of roasted nuts and citrus peel, hints of marzipan, dried fruits and a touch of Dry Sherry coming through at the end.
