Distilled at 7,544 feet in the Guatemalan highlands and aged in white oak casks using the 500 year old Spanish Sistema Solera method Zacapa 23 is delightfully sophisticated. Its character is a blending of Pedro Ximenez wine, mild sherry and robust American whiskey. Honey sweet, Ron Zacapa 23 Year Old Rum has a flavour that is a near perfect balance of dried fruits, butterscotch candies, cocoa and oak spices. Ideally served as a sipper it is advised to pour it over a single ice cup to help awaken its fruity notes.
